Medical and Wellbeing Support for the Farming Community of Somerset
Frome Market Health Hub is a community-led initiative dedicated to supporting the physical and emotional wellbeing of the farming community. Based at Frome Livestock Market, the Hub provides accessible, confidential healthcare services for farmers, their families, and agricultural workers in a setting that fits around their working lives.
The Health Hub was established to address the unique challenges faced by those in farming and rural industries. Long hours, isolation, and the demands of agricultural work can often make it difficult to access traditional healthcare services. By bringing support directly to the market, the Hub ensures that help is available when and where it’s needed most.
Working in partnership with NHS professionals, local organisations, and charities such as The Farming Community Network, the Hub offers a range of services including medical support, emotional wellbeing guidance, and specialist clinics such as podiatry and physiotherapy.
Our aim is simple: to make healthcare more accessible, reduce isolation, and provide practical, trusted support for the farming community. Whether it’s a quick health check, someone to talk to, or ongoing care, the Frome Market Health Hub is here to help you stay well, both physically and mentally.
